Escape to the Hills
Walking Retreat – Lake District 2026
Join me in escaping to the Lake District for 3 days of walking, mindfulness in nature and opportunities to talk in a safe and non-judgemental space. Restricted to just 8 participants (women only), it is a combination of my favourite Lake District fell walks and the most wonderful accommodation; mixed in with the restorative power of mindfulness in nature, optional relaxation and meditation sessions, and opportunities to talk in a safe non-judgemental and supportive space.
We will be based a stone’s throw from Ullswater, in a gorgeous luxury farmhouse, in a quiet corner of the Lake District – with a magical view down the valley and all our walks from the doorstep.
We will have the whole property to ourselves. Everyone will get a King-Size room to themselves (or there is one Twin - which could be shared for a reduced rate, subject to availability). All have private / ensuite bathrooms.
The price includes 3 nights luxury accommodation, 2 hill walks, 1 lake-side walk, mindfulness and relaxation sessions, 3 continental breakfasts, two packed lunches and two evening meals (pre-booked so you will have a choice and any dietary requirements catered for).
For an idea of what its all about see the video and pics below. There’s a more detailed itinerary below...
The trip needs a minimum of 6 to go ahead, therefore, there are 2 options for dates. I will need to book as soon as possible (deposits or full payment may be required depending on which date we choose), to secure our accommodation booking.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to put your name down. And which dates are possible. It will be on a first come first served basis.
Full T&Cs available. Contact me for more information and to book!

It is a moderate fell walk, with around 5 hours of walking, but we will take our time and soak in every wonderful moment. The terrain is mostly on mountain paths, but is sometimes a little rocky. While we are high up, there is no imminent exposure. Please discuss with me if you have any concerns about fitness or ability.
The walk will incorporate Mindfulness in Nature and you will have the opportunity to talk with me whilst walking.
Stretch and relaxation session.
Dinner: Eat in (Pre-ordered meals as per Night 1).

2-hour walk up Hallin Fell with incredible views of Ullswater and an ideal opportunity for Mindfulness in Nature.

The rest of the day is free for you to rest or explore. There is a ferry which calls at the Howtown Pier which goes to Aira Force, Glenridding (more pubs, shops, restaurants) and Pooley Bridge. (Not included in the price.) The ferry pier is a 15 – 20 minute walk from Hause Hall Farm.
You are free to eat out wherever you choose in the evening. Pooley Bridge has plenty of choice for eating oout, and is a 15 min drive away.

Passion for the outdoors
I have a passion for nature and the outdoors, and these can be so beneficial for our mental health, especially when combined with mindfulness and movement.
I have worked and played in the outdoors all my life, and was Deputy Editor of the mountain and hillwalking magazine, TRAIL for 8 years. For me there is no tonic like getting out into the hills. With 20+ years experience of hiking, and navigation / first aid qualifications I am keen to share the healing power of the great outdoors with like-minded clients too.
